Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services teammate for the Shelby, NC area. The role runs 3pm–11:30pm, 40 hours per week, with starting pay at $18.85/hour and eligibility for our comprehensive benefit programs.

You will perform cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing, cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows, while following infection control guidelines and safety procedures. prior experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience preferred: 1 year.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, and restrooms.
• Wipe surfaces, wash windows, floors, and fixtures; replace light bulbs.
• Transport waste, empty trash, change sharps containers, and recycle materials.
• Maintain clean equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance staff.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and departmental standards.
• Attend required in-service education and safety trainings.
• Meet time schedules and deadlines consistently.
