Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Housekeeping Aid - Environmental Services Technician Leader to supervise the Environmental Services team, coordinate cleaning tasks, and ensure sanitary conditions across the VA Medical Center.

The role reports to EMS Management, works a 3:30 pm to 12 am schedule Monday through Friday, and participates in project coordination with nurses and area supervisors to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Leads three or more employees in performing housekeeping tasks to maintain the Medical Center and other units in a clean, organized and sanitary condition.
• Coordinates projects with nurses and other area supervisors to ensure timely and successful completion.
• Sets pace of tasks, demonstrates methods, and provides direction on cleaning supplies and equipment usage.
• Ensures all tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
