Job summary

ChristianaCare's Environmental Services team is hiring an Environmental Service Assistant I to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role is part-time (20 hours weekly) with an evening shift (3:00PM–11:30PM) and requires working every other weekend and holiday.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of customer service experience, can communicate clearly, and is comfortable using smartphones or PDAs for assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a helpful attitude.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout your shift.
• Comfort using smartphones or PDAs for work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms, offices, and common areas clean and sanitary.
• Maintain equipment and supply closets in a safe and orderly condition.
• Support infection control by properly cleaning precaution rooms.
• Respond to service requests via phone and app promptly.
• Report maintenance issues and attend training sessions.
• Uphold safety standards and confidentiality at all times.
