Job summary

SGMC Health seeks a Hospital Environmental Services team member for the Smith Northview Campus. You will perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, and public areas in a hospital setting.

The role requires the ability to read and follow directives, with high school education preferred. Training includes proper use of chemicals and tools; opportunity for on-the-job growth within Environmental Services.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and follow directives.
• Completion of high school is desired educational requirement.
• Previous experience desirable but not required.
• Must, after brief training, demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools.
• One week to three months on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in accordance with standard housekeeping procedures.
• Participate in the department’s performance improvement activities.
