Job summary

Singing River Gulfport Hospital seeks an Environmental Services Aide to uphold clean and infection-control standards throughout the facility. The role includes general cleaning, linen handling, and laundry-related tasks to support multiple departments, ensuring linen availability and proper restocking.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Six months housekeeping experience in healthcare preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and linen tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, halls, and other areas.
• Restock linen carts and assemble linen packs for surgical services, outpatient surgery, ED, L&D and Radiology.
• Stock linen room and other assigned areas; gather linens from designated areas as assigned.
• Deliver linen and ensure correct quantities are received; assist laundry/linen division as assigned.
