Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Hours are 3:30PM - 11:30PM, including every other weekend, with a starting rate of $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities include cleaning nursing units and patient rooms, following cleaning protocols, handling bio-hazard materials, and restocking carts. Prior institutional housekeeping and 1-2 years of healthcare customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to bend/push/pull/lift 50 lbs.
• Prior institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality or relevant area preferred.
• 1 year terminal cleaning and discharges (patient room cleaning) experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Utilizes appropriate cleaning equipment in cleaning all nursing units, patients' rooms and all other designated facility areas, including floors, woodwork, sills, vents, sinks, furniture.
• Follows the department's policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization.
• Cleans up major spills when necessary and responds to pages in a timely manner.
• Cleans and restocks housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
• Removes all trash and linen within the hospital.
• Follows directions carefully for cleaning solution preparations and handling of bio-hazard materials.
• Makes periodic checks for environmental needs in the assigned area.
• Reports any repairs to maintenance.
• Keeps abreast of changes in environmental services by attending monthly department meetings.
• Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
