Job summary

CBRE in Santa Clara is seeking an Elevator Operator to be the welcoming face for visitors and a key part of building operations. You will safely transport passengers and freight, enforce security protocols, and participate in routine inspections and service orders. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, 3pm-12am. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in heavy material handling required.
• Fundamental understanding of elevator components, cable systems and hydraulic lifts.
• Meet the physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs+.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and issue passes, following security protocols.
• Operate elevators to transport passengers and freight to designated floors.
• Monitor capacity and manage weight distribution to prevent strain.
• Identify and report mechanical malfunctions or leveling issues.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of elevator cabin, doors, and controls.
• Handle freight and materials, loading/unloading heavy items as needed.
