Job summary

Southern California Institute of Technology (SCIT) is seeking part-time faculty to teach bachelor's-level courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Anaheim, CA. Courses are designed for evenings and may run two to three nights per week, with options for remote synchronous or asynchronous instruction.

Preferred candidates may teach in person, and opportunities for expanded teaching assignments or full-time appointments exist for individuals with exceptional instructional ability and

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
• At least five years of relevant professional, engineering, teaching, or industry experience.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to undergraduate students.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort teaching in laboratory environments and guiding hands-on projects.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Electrical and Electronic Engineering courses in areas of expertise.
• Provide effective classroom, lab, project-based, and online instruction.
• Supervise students during labs and projects and evaluate work.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with course objectives.
• Promote student engagement, critical thinking, and application of engineering concepts.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback on assignments and exams.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records and communicate progress to staff.
• Submit grades and records according to policies and deadlines.
• Participate in faculty meetings and curriculum discussions.
