SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a full-time EKG Associate for the Coronary Care Unit (Evenings). The role monitors adult patients, delivers direct nursing care, and supports infection control and safe patient handling.

Required qualifications include EKG/ECG certification, Phlebotomy, HS diploma, and BLS. Preferred candidates have 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant.

Qualificações

• Required: electrocardiography/ECG certification and Phlebotomy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct cardiac monitoring on the adult population.
• Perform direct nursing care activity as delegated.
• Perform indirect nursing activities as determined by routine assignment and clinic activity.
• Maintain infection control measures and patient safety.
• Respond to changing patient care needs and manage resources.

Formação académica

Electrocardiography (EKG) or ECG certificate

Phlebotomy

High School Diploma or equivalent

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
