Job summary

Summit Psychological Associates, Inc. in Akron, Ohio, seeks a clinician to facilitate Domestic Violence/Anger Management groups for clients referred by the courts.

A bachelor's degree in a human services field or progress toward a master's degree in counseling or social work is preferred. The position can be part-time or contract and may lead to full-time employment; licensure candidates (CDCA, LCDC I or II) are welcome to apply and prior psychoeducational group experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred or working toward Master's in counseling or social work.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups for domestic violence/anger management.
• Provide psychoeducation on topics like power and control, anger management, communication, healthy relationships.
• Complete brief group notes for each member and track progress.
• Communicate with courts on client progress and assist with gathering outcome data.
