A bachelor's degree in a human services field or someone working toward a master's degree in counseling or social work is preferred. This position can be part time or contract and can lead to a full time position. Applicants with CDCAs, LCDC I or II licensure are welcome to apply. Prior experience in facilitating psychoeducational groups is preferred, especially anger management groups.

The group leader has a manual for the group and the leader would provide psychoeducation on topics such as power and control, anger management, communication and healthy relationships, substance use and its impact on relationships, etc. The group leader would also facilitate discussion of the group topics to assist clients in understanding the topics and incorporating the concepts into their daily lives.

Groups are run separately for male domestic violence perpetrators and for female perpetrators with specialized manuals for the female groups. Group members complete homework for each group session. The staff member would complete brief group notes for each group member, indicating the topic of the group and the group member's participation and progress with the group topics.

The group leader would be provided with training in running the Conflict Solutions groups with both written instructions and ability to sit in on groups and observe prior to leading the group on their own. A clinical staff member would supervise the group leader and would serve as a resource for any questions or support the group leader needed.
