Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines in Elkhart, IN is seeking a part-time Dock Worker for the Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–10:00 PM shift to join our team. You will load and unload freight safely and efficiently, maximizing space and ensuring accuracy in all dock operations.

The role includes pre/post-trip inspections, documenting freight controls, and participating in Dayton Freight’s training programs. A professional, people-centered environment with modern facilities awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic math skills required.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment.
• Properly document all freight control processes.
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts and/or assignments.
• Adhere to the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
