Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Dock Worker for a part-time role in Greenwood, IN. You will load and unload freight safely, maximize space, and perform pre/post trip inspections.

Hours vary by shift, with first shift Tue-Sat 5:00 AM - 10:30 AM, second shift Mon-Fri 6:00 PM start, and third shift Mon-Fri 9:00 PM–10:00 PM. Compensation begins at $23.95 per hour with a modern facility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Basic math skills
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner.
• Maximize space when loading freight.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
• Document all freight control processes
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
• Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual
