Job summary

Perrysburg School District is seeking a 12 Month Custodian to cover a district-wide shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, floating between all buildings within the district. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Executive Director of Business Operations.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to travel between buildings, perform custodial duties, maintain cleanliness, safety, and operate basic building systems.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to make clear and comprehensive reports.
• Willingness to work and assume responsibility, develop and improve his/her proficiency and is conscientious.
• Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community.
• Conscientious and assumes responsibility for own work performance. Good health, high moral character and good attendance record.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid all students.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial work for routine care, maintenance, protection and preservation of the assigned building, its contents and grounds.
• Travel between buildings as directed by the Executive Director of Business Operations.
• Maintain and repair building and equipment, and perform housekeeping duties.
• Develop and ensure schedules for work, inspection, maintenance and cleaning with the cooperation of the principal and/or designee.
• Regulate heat, ventilation and air conditioning, and ensure economical use of fuel, water and electricity.
• Keep the school yard and spaces neat and presentable.
• Secure the building daily and turn off lights where applicable.
