Van-Duyn-Center-For-Rehabilitation- in Syracuse, NY is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to join our Dietary team. This entry-level role focuses on washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while supporting a safe, clean kitchen environment for residents and staff.

Shift options include evening hours (4 PM – 9 PM) in a fast-paced setting. Previous food service or dishwashing experience is preferred, and reliable, on-time team players are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or dishwashing preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing and kitchen area
• Sweep and mop floors as needed to maintain sanitation standards
• Dispose of trash and recycling and replace liners
• Assist dietary staff with basic kitchen cleanup tasks
• Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Report broken equipment or maintenance issues to supervisors
• Support the dietary team to ensure the kitchen remains clean and efficient during meal service
