Job summary

Sesdac is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Town Square, PT Evenings in Vermillion, SD. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently, participate in the community, and reach personal goals.

The role requires flexibility, empathy, and strong communication. Training, safety protocols, and medication administration may be part of duties, with background checks required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic fluency in oral and written English.
• Has computer experience and is comfortable with technology navigation.
• Pass qualifying criminal background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provides Person-Centered services to all people and is able to adjust interactions from person to person.
• Maintains good attendance, professionalism, and respectful communication with individuals supported, families, coworkers and partners.
• Follows all agency policies, procedures, state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, to protect confidentiality.
• Assists people with daily living skills and facilitates community involvement and independence.
• Must complete medication training and, when assigned, administer and inventory medications per policy.
