Job summary

Advocates for Life Skills & Opportunity (ALSO) in Oregon seeks a Part-time 1:1 Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Monday–Friday, 4pm–8pm. The role pays $18.00–$19.50 per hour, with experience, education, and veteran status impacting pay.

No previous experience required; paid training is provided. ALSO focuses on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live self-directed lives with independence and inclusion in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Paid training provided for those new to social services.
• Driver license highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong, supportive connections with individuals receiving services and provide backup coverage when needed.
• Advocate for the autonomy, needs, and goals of the individuals we support.
• Assist with hygiene and daily living tasks (e.g., cooking, cleaning) in home and community settings.
• Ensure proper documentation (MAR, T-Logs, ISP data) to meet compliance standards.
