Job summary

Goodwin Living, a nonprofit senior living and healthcare organization based in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a Utility Person for the Dining Services Department. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and order according to departmental standards, with shifts 4:30-9pm including weekends and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

You'll work with kitchen staff, support functions such as food prep and storage, and benefit from generous benefits including DailyPay and tuition

Qualifications

• Must deal tactfully with others.
• Able to read, write and comprehend instructions.
• Must have effective verbal communication with staff, residents and management.
• Must be well groomed with professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize trash containers per guidelines.
• Sweep, mop and hose kitchen areas as needed.
• Collect and dispose of used kitchen grease properly.
• Perform detailed cleaning of facilities, appliances and equipment.
• Support other kitchen functions including receiving, storage, prep, dish machine, and meal service.
