Job summary

Goodwin Living Career Center is seeking a Utility Person to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and order in the Dining Services Department. The role pays $20.00/hr with a 1pm-9pm schedule and includes weekend work.

Candidates should be able to read, write, and follow instructions, communicate well with residents and staff, and maintain a neat, professional appearance. Full-time benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
• Must possess effective verbal communication skills to engage with staff, residents and management.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with others.
• Must be well groomed and present a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes trash containers per department guidelines.
• Sweeps, mops, and hoses kitchen areas regularly or as needed.
• Collects and disposes of used kitchen grease according to procedures.
• Performs detailed cleaning of facilities, appliances, and equipment to maintain sanitation standards.
• Supports other kitchen functions including receiving, storage, prep, dish machine and meal service.
