Job summary

The Village at Rockville, part of National Lutheran Communities & Services, is hiring a Utility Aide (Dishwasher) for an evening shift in Rockville, MD. The role supports a warm, efficient dining operation and directly impacts residents’ dining experiences.

As a Dishwasher, you’ll maintain a clean dish room, follow sanitation guidelines, and assist kitchen staff to ensure meals are served promptly. Prior dishwashing experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dish room and kitchen areas.
• Remove trash and recyclables and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
• Restock clean dishes and supplies for kitchen and dining staff.
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety guidelines.
• Report equipment concerns or safety hazards promptly.
• Support kitchen operations and assist team members as needed.
• Help create a clean, welcoming environment for residents, guests, and fellow team members.
