Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to residents during meal periods
• Assist residents with meal selections and provide information regarding menu options
• Help residents make meal selections that support their nutritional needs and preferences
• Create a welcoming and pleasant dining environment for residents and guests
• Respond to resident requests and concerns courteously and communicate needs to supervisor
• Maintain professionalism, patience, and compassion with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
• Support special events and resident activities involving Dining Services
• Prepare and set up the dining room for scheduled meals
• Ensure beverages and dining supplies are stocked and available
• Maintain a clean, organized dining environment and sanitize surfaces after meals
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
• Set up and operate the dish machine and record temperatures
• Wash and sanitize dishes and clean floors after meals
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary work environment
• Participate in Dining Services meetings and training
• Follow all policies and infection control practices
