Job summary

The Parkwood, operated by Transforming Age, in Sioux Falls, SD, is hiring a part-time Dining Room Server for weekday evenings (4PM–7PM with some flexibility). The role offers $16–$17 per hour with 15–20 hours weekly, perfect for students seeking a meaningful, flexible opportunity in a 55+ community.

Responsibilities include serving meals, assisting with menu details, and supporting light kitchen tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous server experience preferred.
• Effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with drink selection and serve daily three-course evening meals.
• Confirm and share menu details, answer questions and help with dinner service.
• Assist with to-go orders and meal delivery.
• Deliver food to residents, clear and reset tables for next service.
• Assist with light back-of-house duties (salad prep, dessert portions, coffee).
• Observe residents to ensure dining area safety and cleanliness.
• Promote the Parkwood, Transforming Age, and Affiliate Mission and Values.
