Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Server to create a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents and guests. You will focus on service, hospitality, and care to ensure mealtimes reflect high standards of our community. The role is scheduled from 3pm to 8pm at 10660 Validus Dr.

Jacksonville, FL 32256 with a pay rate of $15/hour. Previous dining or hospitality experience is preferred and flexibility to work weekends/holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining or hospitality preferred.
• Customer-focused approach when serving residents and guests.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
