Job summary

StoneRidge Senior Living Community in Mystic, CT is seeking a part-time server to provide table service in community dining rooms. Hours are 16-20 per week, with shifts 4pm-8pm and days varying. Starting pay is $17.10 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities include setting tables, taking orders, serving guests, and using the POS system to accurately enter orders and charges. Prior waiting experience preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
• Ability to interpret and explain menus, coordinate meal service processes, and handle special requests.
• Ability to work closely with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
• Take orders, provide service and requested items graciously.
• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service.
• Enter orders into the POS system and charge residents correctly.
• Set up and breakdown functions and events.
