Job summary

Viva Senior Living is seeking a Server for our Food Service team. The role focuses on delivering meals and beverages to residents, maintaining dining room readiness, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and compassionate care for residents and their families.

Shift options are 2p-7p or 3p-7p, with expectations to uphold safety, hygiene, and excellent resident service in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
Must be able to lift a 25-pound tray overhead.

Responsibilities

Server shall provide meals and beverages to residents in the dining room and is responsible for the total resident experience.
Involves independent and team responsibilities regarding set-up and clean-up of the dining room for meal service and other prep/closing duties.
Take attendance at meals, if assigned.
Offer residents beverages prior to meals and ensure condiments are available for current meal.
Ensure the dining room is prepared for meal service and meals are served in courses when possible.
Inform kitchen of any resident concerns regarding meals and remain available during service.
