Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our dining team. You will greet residents and guests, take orders, operate the register, and help keep the dining area welcoming.

The evening shift runs 3:30p-7:30p with rotating weekends and holidays. No prior cashier experience is required—we provide training. This role supports a mission-driven community and values respectful, people-centered care.

Qualifications

• Cashier or customer-service experience is a plus — but not required! We’ll train you.
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Friendly, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed
• Comfortable working in a lively, people‑focused environment
• Committed to treating older adults with dignity, patience, and respect

Responsibilities

• Welcome residents, guests, and team members with genuine hospitality and a positive attitude.
• Take food orders, serve meals, and provide attentive customer service.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment.
• Restock supplies and assist with light food preparation and food service tasks as needed.
