Job summary

Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Dietary Aide to join the dining team. This entry level role involves assembling and serving meals to residents, maintaining a sanitary kitchen, and delivering friendly customer service. No prior experience is required, but a positive attitude and reliability are essential.

Shift is 3pm–8pm with a varied schedule, Monday through Sunday. We offer competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

Entry level—no experience necessary.
Prior food service or hospitality experience is helpful but not required.
Good communication skills.
Ability to interact with residents, kitchen staff, and dining team members.
Organization and time-management skills.
Must have reliable transportation to work and be punctual.
Positive attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Works with the Dietary team to prepare nourishments, beverages and snacks as ordered.
Accurately sets up meal trays and dining room tables per ticket or instruction.
Maintains a clean and organized kitchen and dining area throughout the shift.
Adheres to sanitation and safety procedures.
Uses professional communication skills and answers menu questions while taking food orders.
