Job summary

Ryders Health Management is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for Aaron Manor in Chester, CT. Prepare and serve meals, maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness, and contribute to a respectful dining atmosphere for residents.

The role features a 3:30pm–7:30pm shift with every other weekend. Pay is $16.94 per hour, with duties including following dietary orders, safe food handling, serving meals, sanitation, and team communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand meal orders, dietary instructions, and follow recipes or menus carefully.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with residents, families, and staff members.
• Physical stamina: stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry items (food trays, supplies) during shift.
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and respect for resident dignity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages according to menu plans, dietary orders, and facility protocols.
• Serve meals to residents and deliver trays, ensuring diets and special dietary needs are followed correctly.
• Assist with set‑up and clean‑up of dining areas and kitchen; wash dishes and sanitize surfaces.
• Perform inventory management and restocking of food supplies; monitor food expiration and storage per safety standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection‑control procedures at all times.
• Communicate with residents, dietary staff, and the care team about dietary needs and preferences.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Food Service Supervisor.
