Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Legacy Pointe in Omaha, NE is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support the dietary team by preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and following resident care plans.

You will work with dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers to ensure meals meet dietary needs, are served hot, and residents receive great service. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or healthcare is a plus; on-the-job training provided.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physical: Lift up to 25 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, handle hot/cold foods.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation according to menu plans and dietary guidelines.
• Serve meals and beverages to residents promptly and courteously.
• Adhere to dietary restrictions and document special requirements.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen following food safety protocols.
• Report any deviations or shortages to the Dietary Manager.
• Engage with residents respectfully and address preferences.
• Collaborate with dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers for seamless service.
• Follow facility policies and attend mandatory trainings.
