Job summary

Highland Pines is a fantastic Long-Term Care Facility located in Longview, TX, seeking dedicated kitchen staff for a full-time role with a 12P-8PM schedule. You will join our team to prepare meals and manage dining room service for residents, ensuring a warm and clean dining environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with food ordering, prep, and cooking support; following recipes, labeling nourishments, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining area.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• One year’s work in a large-scale cooking operation, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the supervisor.
• Assists cooks as directed by the supervisor.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
• Completes pre-preparation as needed or assigned including washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Washes pots and pans and cleans the kitchen and dining area; follows cleaning schedule.
• Assumes responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
• Washes dishes and silverware; assists with cleaning of equipment and kitchen.
• Other duties as assigned.
