Job summary

Ditmas Park Dialysis Center is seeking an experienced Dialysis RN to join our team. The ideal candidate has prior hemodialysis experience and will perform patient assessments, monitor treatments, and ensure equipment safety in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

You will work a part-time schedule (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) with a 5-hour evening shift, collaborate with nephrology and healthcare staff, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate medical records to support high-quality

Qualifications

• RN license in New York State required.
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment parameters as needed.
• Administer medications and IV fluids per physician orders.
• Set up and operate dialysis equipment, ensuring safety and proper function.
• Educate patients and families on treatment, dietary needs, and medication management.
• Identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions during treatment.
• Collaborate with nephrologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality initiatives.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.
