Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College is seeking a qualified and motivated part-time Course Facilitator to provide hands-on laboratory instruction for students in the Dental Assisting Program. The facilitator will reinforce classroom concepts while developing practical skills, infection-control practices, and clinical readiness for entry-level dental assistants.

Qualifications

MA State DA License and BLS CPR are required.
Teaching or clinical training experience is preferred.
Credentials such as CDA/EFDA or dental licensure are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on dental assisting laboratory instruction Thursdays 6:00–8:30 PM.
Demonstrate and supervise chairside procedures and lab competencies.
Teach operatory preparation, breakdown, and maintenance.
Reinforce infection control, PPE, aseptic technique, instrument processing, disinfection, and sterilization.
Instruct on dental instruments, tray setup, four-handed dentistry, patient positioning, and radiography concepts.
Evaluate student laboratory performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain attendance, competency, and student-performance documentation.
Communicate student progress and remediation needs to the Program Director.
