Job summary

Charter College in Pasco, WA seeks a part-time Dental Assistant Instructor for evening classes. The role covers day or evening teaching, with classes starting around 9:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m., and 1–2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Dental Assisting.
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in dental assisting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience teaching in a blended learning environment preferred.
• Ability to provide hands-on instruction in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each course and develop a syllabus consistent with course descriptions and curriculum requirements.
• Provide engaging classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction.
• Assess student understanding and provide additional instruction when needed.
• Maintain academic and instructional standards.
• Regularly evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Be available to students who need additional assistance or have academic concerns.
• Support student retention and engagement efforts.
• Review and respond to student evaluations of instruction.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and official college functions as required.
• Maintain professional knowledge and expertise through continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain required academic and professional documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
