Job summary

Charter College is seeking part-time/instructors in Pasco, WA to teach Dental Assistant courses in an evening, blended format. Instructors will conduct 6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. sessions (Mon–Thu) and may teach part-time by course in-person at the Pasco campus.

Requirements include current Dental Assisting certification, Registered Dental Assistant status, and at least two years of field experience. Prior blended teaching is preferred, with a focus on student engagement and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Certification in Dental Assisting and Registered Dental Assistant.
• Two years of experience in the field.
• Experience in a blended teaching environment is preferred but not required.

Charter College, an established and growing career college with locations in Washington, New Mexico, Alaska, Montana, and Southern California is now currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced part/full-time Dental Assistant instructors to teach in the evenings a blended course environment for our Pasco, WA campus.

The blended course environment enables instructors to offer students a greater range of learning avenues. It blends face-to-face interaction such as in-class discussions, active group work, live lectures, and lab work with web-based technologies such as discussion boards, open forums, and utilizing a learning management system. This allows us to offer a more active learning and flexible scheduling for the students, while maintaining the value of a face-to-face learning environment.

Job Duties:

• Prepare for each course to be taught a syllabus consistent with course descriptions.
• Impress upon our students the importance of exhibiting appropriate conduct in the workplace.
• Acquire feedback to determine whether students understand each segment of the course.
• Maintain academic standards.
• Evaluate students' progress often and share those evaluations with them promptly.
• Be available to students with concerns.
• Review and be guided by student evaluations of instruction.
• Play an intricate role in student retention efforts.
• Serve on faculty committees.
• Attend and participate in official college functions.
• Keep on file the official transcripts of your formal studies.
• Enroll in such courses of study and participate in such programs of professional growth.

Requirements:

• Current Certification in Dental Assisting AND.
• Registered Dental Assistant.
• Two (2) years of experience in the field.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience in a blended teaching environment is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• Part-Time.
• Pay By Course.
• We are seeking instructors that can accommodate the day or evening shift.
• 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday).

• Pasco, WA 99301: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
