Job summary

Pottstown Middle School in Pottstown, PA is seeking a dedicated Custodian I to maintain the cleanliness and safe condition of hallways, restrooms, and common areas after hours.

The role runs from 11 PM to 3 PM, 260 days per year, typically Monday through Friday during the school year with summer hours that may vary. Prior custodial experience and ability to interact well with students, families, staff and the public are preferred. Clearances per Act 34, 114 and 151 are required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or custodial experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with students, families, staff and general public.
• Clearances required (Act 34, Act 114 and Act 151).

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and maintain appearance of assigned corridors and lavatories.
• Participate in summer housecleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met throughout the school facilities.
