Job summary

The Fairview Park City Schools is seeking a Second-Shift Custodian for Gilles-Sweet Elementary. The position runs 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., eight hours per day, and 186 days per year (student days).

The role involves cleaning, basic repairs, and supervising cleaning staff to maintain a safe school environment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, a friendly demeanor, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Ohio driver license required.

• Be of good physical stature and able to lift 50 pounds and do bending.
• Have a valid Ohio Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning.
• General repairs on equipment and in buildings.
• Provide leadership and direction to sweeper/cleaner staff.
• Mix and use cleaning materials properly and according to directions.
• Work safely so as not to expose self or others to unsafe conditions.
• Use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Provide set up and tear down for meeting and programs.
• Open and close facilities as required.
• Respond to requests to staff and residents requires in a timely manner.
