Job summary

Clark College is seeking two full-time Custodian 3 positions in Facilities Services. The role acts as a working lead, directing custodial staff and performing a full range of cleaning duties to keep campus facilities welcoming.

Work schedule is Thursday through Monday, 5:00pm–1:30am, in-person at the main campus. Candidates should have two years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of safety and chemical handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional custodial, janitorial, or facilities related work experience.
• Valid and current driver’s license.
• Valid and current automobile insurance.
• Knowledge of SDS requirements, chemical handling, PPE, and workplace safety practices.
• Experience with commercial floor-care equipment, including automatic scrubbers, buffers/burnishers, carpet extractors, and related equipment.
• Experience training employees, conducting quality inspections, coordinating work assignments, responding to staffing or operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and instruct employees in cleaning and housekeeping duties in a variety of different facilities.
• Schedule and assign work to employees; inspect and report areas cleaned.
• Assign and coordinate daily custodial work.
• Monitor quality and completion of tasks.
• Assist with training and provide guidance to custodial employees.
