Job summary

Oakwood City Schools District in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a dependable Custodian to join our team. This position will primarily work a swing/second shift and will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas; light maintenance; event setup/cleanup; and reporting safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Dependable, responsible and trustworthy.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of performing physical duties associated with custodial work.
• Custodial or maintenance experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout the building.
• Maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Assist with light maintenance and building upkeep.
• Set up and clean up for school activities and events.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Work cooperatively with staff and other maintenance personnel.
