Job summary

Chillicothe City School District is seeking a Custodian II for the 2nd shift at CPS to maintain an attractive, sanitary and safe facility. Responsibilities include arranging spaces for events, cleaning classrooms, delivering items, and ensuring security of the site.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to perform physical tasks, follow instructions, and communicate with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform basic math for dilution calculations.
• Ability to stand for long periods, follow instructions and work with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Arranges furnishings and equipment for meetings and events.
• Cleans school facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Delivers supplies, mail and items to proper parties.
• Informs staff, students and others about activities, safety and maintenance.
• Secures facilities and grounds to ensure safety and minimize risk.
• Repairs furniture and minor building damage to keep items safe and usable.
• Requests equipment and supplies through supervisor to maintain inventory.
• Maintains grounds and operates equipment as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
