Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a dependable Janitor for evening hours (3 pm–9 pm) Monday through Friday to maintain clean, organized, and disinfected work areas. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety procedures, with duties spanning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, reporting unsafe conditions, and documenting completed work on a cleaning chart.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work or cleaning services.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows and walls, and general tasks.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors (offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairs, locker rooms).
• Clean chairs and upholstered furniture stains.
• Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces and moldings.
• Empty trash cans and ashtrays; clean trash cans.
• Disinfect desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
• Empty trash and recycling containers to disposal area.
• Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a cleaning chart of areas cleaned and inspected.
• Follow safety and precaution rules.
• Close doors at the end of the night shift.
