Job summary

ServiceMaster Residential Co in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a custodian/janitorial staff to maintain clean and healthy facilities using our approved products and procedures.

You will perform cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, window cleaning, and restocking dispensers, while adhering to PPE requirements and security routines. Training is provided, and a flexible schedule is available to accommodate multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English
• Must have a clean background
• 1-2 years experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• Flexible schedules available (implicit in role)

Responsibilities

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures
• Cleaning duties include: vacuuming, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning windows, restocking dispensers, etc.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enables and disables security system as required.
• Will provide on-the-job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with professional janitorial companies, office complexes, hotels, hospitals, or schools is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and be dependable and on time.
• Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
• Various schedules available.
