Job summary

ServiceMaster Residential Co in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a part-time janitorial/ custodial assistant to help create cleaner and healthier environments for client buildings. You will perform daily cleaning tasks using standard procedures and products.

This role offers on-site work with flexible scheduling, paid training, and opportunities to join a reliable team. Previous janitorial experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Clean background required or acceptable per policy.
• 1-2 years experience as custodian/janitor/housekeeper is a plus but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools and procedures.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Open/close facilities and manage security system as required.
• Use proper PPE where required.
• Be flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Position Description:

This position is responsible for creating cleaner and healthier environments for our customer’s buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be Assigned:

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures
• Cleaning duties include: vacuuming , mopping, emptying trash, cleaning windows, restocking dispensers, etc..
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required
• Opens and locks facilities, enables and disables security system as required.
• 1-2 years experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• Will provide on-the-job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible, and work at a fast-paced and multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable, and on time
• Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must have a clean background

This is a part time position.
