Job summary

City of Kings Mountain seeks a part-time custodial worker to perform routine cleaning and basic building maintenance in city facilities. The role includes cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and general upkeep.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of unskilled manual labor and custodial work.
• Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean building; vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, clean restrooms and fixtures; clean windows and woodwork; shampoo carpet; buff and wax floors.
• Empty trash and stock restrooms with towels, tissue, and soap; replace light bulbs.
• Perform tasks such as removing leaves, cleaning sidewalks, and cleaning around buildings.
• Operate floor care equipment; maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Unlock/lock buildings; set up rooms for meetings; coordinate with staff for events.
