Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodian in Beaverton, OR to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial duties, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure safety and compliance with company procedures.

Responsibilities include handling hazardous waste, following daily schedules, and collaborating with a team to meet quality standards. A valid driver’s license and safety training certification may be required; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
