Job summary

The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, located in Washington, CT, seeks a Custodian to support a comprehensive residential program. The Custodian will help maintain a healthy, safe, and sanitary environment and be part of a cohesive, passionate team.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 3pm–11pm. Responsibilities include cleaning facilities, maintaining surfaces, replenishing supplies, and reporting safety concerns to the Facilities Director while assisting Maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Cleans office spaces, residential buildings, bathrooms, school, etc. which may include deep cleanings as needed.
• Ensures all surfaces such as floors, furniture, windows, etc. are clean on a regular basis.
• Empties trash.
• Maintains a safe envionment by using proper signage (wet floors, etc.).
• Cleans custodial equipment and maintains tools so they are in proper working condition.
• Replenishes custodial supplies as needed.
• Ensures safe and sanitary storage of custodial supplies and equipment; Reports any safety concerns to Facilities Director.
• Assists Maintenance as needed.

Education
