Job summary

Grand Forks Public Schools is seeking a custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment at our Grand Forks facilities. The role runs 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, about 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend hours depending on events.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic housekeeping and floor care knowledge, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and willingness to learn equipment operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, floor care, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to lift sixty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties including floor care and general cleaning.
• Perform general grounds maintenance including snow removal and lawn and gardening tasks.
• Assist other building personnel with special activity preparation.
• Acquire general knowledge of building mechanical systems.
• Assist Head/Lead Custodian and district maintenance personnel in operation and repair of mechanical systems including preventive maintenance.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal, custodial supervisor or the head/lead custodian.
