Job summary

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe school environment in Oxford Hills facilities. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operating cleaning equipment, and handling cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.

The position is a 176-day school year with 8-hour shifts (3:30pm–11:30pm) and hourly pay ranging from $20.87 to $25.01, plus a 25-cent shift differential after 3pm. Comprehensive benefits apply for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Experience using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions.
• Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
• Communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and heavy cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors.
• Gathers and empties trash and recycling.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions.
• Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
• Shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs.
• Performs routine maintenance activities.
