This remote role supports a wide range of content areas including news, sports, finance, lifestyle, entertainment, and TV, across web, mobile, and TV experiences.

The ideal candidate writes snappy copy, curates stories from feeds and partners, and collaborates with editors to ensure smooth handoffs during on-hours and off-hours shifts.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of editorial experience.
• Excellent news judgment and interest in current events, entertainment, TV, and cross-platform content experiences.
• Ability to write concise, engaging copy.
• Strong communication with attention to detail.
• Experience using content management systems and analytics tools.
• Basic Photoshop editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, schedule, and copyedit editorial features across multiple content channels and media platforms.
• Curate content packages using feeds, partner content, and internal assets.
• Monitor media sources, identify breaking news opportunities, and publish timely updates.
• Program and schedule features to maximize content engagement and reach.
• Manage editorial partner relationships, including communication and workflow coordination.

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Evening Editorial Content Editor to update, curate, and program editorial content across multiple platforms and joint venture channels. This role supports a wide range of content areas, including news, sports, finance, lifestyle, entertainment, and TV, across web, mobile, and TV experiences.

The ideal candidate is a strong editor and content curator who can write snappy, engaging copy, package existing content from feeds and partners, and present stories in ways that attract and retain audience attention. While there may be opportunities for long-form writing and blogging, this is not a full-time writing role.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, schedule, and copyedit editorial features across multiple content channels and media platforms.
• Curate compelling content packages using a mix of media types, partner content, feeds, and internal editorial assets.
• Monitor media sources, identify breaking news opportunities, and publish timely updates as needed.
• Program and schedule features to maximize content engagement, audience reach, and content views.
• Manage editorial partner relationships, including communication, workflow coordination, and content acquisition.
• Collaborate with editors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handoffs between on-hours and off-hours shifts.
• Monitor performance metrics and audience data to inform content decisions and improve programming effectiveness.
• Contribute ideas for long-term editorial strategy, new features, and improved cross-platform experiences.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of editorial experience.
• Excellent news judgment and a strong interest in current events, entertainment, TV, and cross-platform content experiences.
• Ability to write creative, concise, and engaging copy that encourages audiences to continue reading, watching, or exploring.
• Strong communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, spelling, grammar, clarity, and accuracy.
• Experience using content management systems and analytics tools.
• Basic Photoshop editing skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced editorial environment.
• Creative thinker who is comfortable participating in group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and strategic conversations.
• Ability to lead, coordinate, and communicate effectively with editors, partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work some off-hours and holiday shifts as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree required; Journalism, English, or Communications majors preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
