Job summary

Foundation 2 Crisis Services is seeking a full-time crisis support specialist to meet clients at the Linn County Mental Health Access Center. You will provide crisis counseling, complete assessments, coordinate services, and document care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in human services or related field, data-entry skills, and trauma-informed care principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with 1+ year’s relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 30 hours of human service coursework.
• Proficient typing and data entry with accuracy.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Ability to pass background checks conducted by Foundation 2 Crisis Services.
• Live in Iowa and complete required trainings on time.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients at Linn County Mental Health Access Center for crisis counseling and support.
• Complete required assessments with clients.
• Provide service coordination and referrals for services at the Center.
• Complete documentation for proper record keeping.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at the Center.
