Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Walk-in Clinician to provide direct mental health services at the Crisis Walk-in Center in Pittsburgh. The clinician assesses immediate needs and links individuals to appropriate community resources.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, collaborating with treatment teams, and facilitating community integration for adults with co-occurring disorders. Evening shift, full-time, non-exempt hourly position.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field with 3 years of paid mental health direct care experience OR a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of paid mental health direct care experience.
• Psychiatric residential setting experience preferred.
• ACT 33/34/73 Clearances required.
• Pre-Employment Physical/TB Test and Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct service as necessary.
• Recognizes crisis and responds/intervenes per CPI techniques.
• Identifies when medical/psychiatric services are needed and acts accordingly.
• Integrates the consumer into the community and ongoing crisis management.
• Attends internal and external committees and treatment team meetings.
• Responds to internal and external customers.
